About Me:
In life we are often faced with adversity that can leave one feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed at times. Living with unprocessed pain and change can keep you from living to your full potential. My desire is to help you to process your pain, hurt, change, trauma, etc. and overcome the barriers of your circumstances by creating coping skills, restoring hope, and providing a safe place to freely express yourself. Through reprocessing your past circumstances we can impact the present and make a path toward an even brighter future. My passion is to help people overcome their past using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a therapeutic technique that renders results in a short amount of time and is used for a wide variety of needs.
Life is an adventure that leads us all on our own unique path. My path has been full of fun, learning, heartache, and a lot of love which all led me to my career as a high school teacher. I loved every minute of teaching but felt that I was called to the profession of counseling, to help the hurting and grieving. I have experienced great loss and hardship in life and want to help others overcome their obstacles as counseling has helped me to do. I also have the privilege of being a military wife, which has taught our family a lot on the importance of time together and growing even though we are apart. We are a family who loves being around those we love. On our down time we are normally hanging out with family and friends as life is all about making memories because in the end memories are what matter!
