About Me:
Let's face it, the world can be a scary place. We are all faced with issues that challenge our perception of safety and security. This is when having someone to talk to can really help. Whether you are facing anxiety from a specific situation, a phobia, or just feel an occasional feeling of unease, there is help. I have been helping clients with anxiety and a number of other issues such as depression and life adjustment for six years. I know that coping with anxiety and other mental health issues can be a daunting task. I understand the challenge on a personal and professional level. If you are in need of professional assistance I would be honored to take the journey with you.
I have experience in the use of relaxation techniques such as mindfulness, guided imagery, and deep breathing, as well as exposure therapies. I can also help you evaluate and challenge thoughts that elevate anxiety. I am a University of Central Oklahoma graduate (bachelors in 2008 and masters in 2013). I also appreciate the effect that hobbies have on balancing our lives and our emotions. I enjoy drawing and listening to music as well as reading. I encourage all of my clients to participate in activities that they enjoy.
