About Me:
Life is really difficult when we have issues that arise and we feel isolated, not knowing how to work through those hardships. Maybe you've recently experienced a crisis or trauma and need assistance in processing the pain to move forward. Perhaps anxiety or depression are holding you back from the next great step in life! My heart is driven to helping you seek counsel, comfort and restoration in a safe haven.
I have a passion for trauma management recovery using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is used for a wide variety of needs! I have personally utilized EMDR to work through the aftermath of a horrific vehicle collision which resulted in head trauma and neurological struggles for months. My anxiety surrounding driving was so severe I avoided traveling and other everyday life occurrences, simply to avoid my anxious dysfunction. EMDR was so successful for me that I knew I wanted to share its amazing therapeutic resources with as many people as possible and help them reach the same quality of functioning I was blessed to achieve. My areas of strength include working with anxiety needs, depression, and trauma/PTSD survivors.
While I greatly enjoy my time counseling, my first love was teaching! I taught early childhood (Pre-K, Kindergarten and 2nd grade) for nine years in the public system and even moved overseas with my husband to teach for military families before we started our own family. We love to travel and do all things outdoors…well, minus gardening. I have a brown thumb, but each spring I convince myself, “This is the year!” …I have yet to be right on that one.
